eWhen sending from Outlook 2003 I attach pictures that are around 1mb in
size. When I try to attach 4 or more the email always gets returned to me. Is
there a way I can reduce the file size of my pictures befor attaching or can
outlook be set up to reduce file attachment sizes before sending?

You ISP might have a mb limit for your email, when you go over that limit
you get a message back saying it can't be delievered. Try using WINZIP and
see if that compress them better. Save your Pics as .jpg files, these are
smaller than most files.

good luck

.... Or if none of what hustedj works for you, open the pictures with
Microsoft Office Picture Manager, and compress them by selecting Picture /
Compress...

Best of luck

You can use any of several applications to reduce the size of the pictures.
Zipping them up, as suggested by hustedj may or may not help, because
pictures are binary and zipping doesn't reduce the size of binary
information significantly in many cases. Use a photo processing app like
IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) to reduce their size.
