The AOpen AX4R Plus is a rather simple alternative to other Granite Bay boards. Built with just enough features for the user, it stands to compete against lighter versions of Granite Bays such as MSI's recently introduced GNB Max2-L. With up to six PCI slots, there's quite a lot of room for expansion, not forgetting that there are already two PCI devices on-board, which includes the Silicon Image Sil3112A Serial ATA controller and the Realtek 10/100Mbps Ethernet controller.
