I do not subscribe to AOL, but I do use AIM. The new version of this
software introduces an annoying popup each time I boot up. Is there was way
to get rid of this? I do not have a copy of the earlier version of AIM
which did not do this, so I cannot reinstall it. Is it possible to locate
and install this earlier version?

Thanks in advance for any assistance....and hopefully this is an ok
newsgroup in which to ask this question.

oopss...sorry WCT

uninstall it and look under Google. The version 4,7 that I used last didn't
have any annoying pop ups. That may be your best shot.

If you're referring to the AIM.com window, this can be disabled. Look in your
Preferences under Sign On/Off and uncheck "Show AIM.com window at sign on".
Click on Apply & OK.

I'm afraid you'll need to contact AOL's tech support for resolution
of problems with (or caused by) their product; Microsoft has no
control over AOL's product quality (or lack thereof).
