Hello, I seem to have downloaded something from sfux.com whatever that is. I
now have an extra search bar and another one on my desktop. I've tried
deleting cookies so far but to no avail. Your help would be most gratefully
received. I tried restore but that doesn't seem to work, won't go back a
month. Many Thanks.

Suggestions in no particular order: Check in Add/Remove Programs for an
uninstall option. Don't know if I would do this but many sites have a page
with directions for uninstalling the junk they drop into your system. Run
anti-spyware software to pick up any pieces the uninstall left behind. Or
lacking any uninstall options, programs such as AdAware or Spybot Search &
Destroy may be able to remove the thing entirely. Disable third party
browser plugins in Internet Options. I have this turned off and find that
the basic Flash player and QuickTime plugins still appear when needed.
