According to this site (translated), during a presentation by AMD, a video was shown which confirmed the Clawhammers (8th generaton) will start with a PR of 3400+ (current fastest is 2200+). An AMD rep also confirmed that the processor will run at "over 2GHz".
Insteresting news indeed. If this is true, not only is there a clock speed bump up from the current Thoroughbred Athlon XPs, but there's a good PR boost per clock speed as well. I think the 30% that was said at an earlier date is not an exageration, and this chip looks very promising indeed.
