Hi,

I am planning on building a new PC using AMD 64 bit processing. I understand how to build it and what parts I need but my confusions is on the software side. My questions are;

1) Do we have to wait until the new windows is available to be able to use it or can we use XP to run the system?

2) Are all programs compatible with AMD 64 or will some programs not work?

3) The same question for games, will all games work on an AMD 64 system or will some of them not work.

Also my form tutor is planning to buy a new PC from TIME, which isn't the best place to but a PC from (Understatement of the Year), anyway he found an AMD 64 system with a very good specification but it only costs £800!! So something isn't rite.

Thanks in advanced

the AMD 64 biot chips are fully 32-Bit compatible, that mins Windows XP, games and any other ssoftware under the sun :).
