Hello! I am unable to print anything using Adobe Reader. I keep getting the
following error msgs: C:\\Docume~1\Owner\Locals~Tem\454b_appcompat.txt.
Would anyone be able to help me. Thank you and God bless!

Hi,

Close the reader, then delete the contents of that temp folder.

Hello! I am unable to open the reader. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
and I still cannot open it. I went to Adobe and it said to change the
security settings to enable all those under ActiveX Controls and Plug-Ins
and now I received the following errors:
C:\Docume~1\Owner\Locals~1\Temp\276a_appcompat.tx and
C:\Docume~1\Owner\Locals~1\Temp\eb98_appcompat.tx. I am at a loss. Thank
you for your help!

Hi Jimmy,

Have you deleted the contents of the temp folder yet? This is important, as
it could be something as simple as a corrupt file that is causing the
issues. Click start/run, type "%userprofile%\local settings\temp" (without
the quotes) and click ok. Then click edit/select all, then hit the delete
key.

Also, in the Control Panel/Internet Options/Programs tab, click on the
button to manage add-ons, then select and disable the Adobe reader ones.

Hello Rick! I deleted the temporary files and went into programs/manage
add-ons and nothing shows up there for Adobe. Also, when I tried to open up
Adobe after deleting the temp files, I received the following msgs:
C:\Docume~1\Owner\Locals~1\Temp\295_appcompat.tx. Thank you for your help!

I had the exact problem recently, Adobe 7.05 would not open. I
uninstalled/reinstalled several times to no avail. Finally I
downloaded and installed Adobe 6 and all is working fine again.

Hi Jimmy,

Dunno - as mentioned by another you might try reverting to version 6 unless
adobe has a cure.
