I upgraded from XP Home to XP Pro. But now the Log On to
Windows screen expects an Administrator password. Blank,
or the original password don't work.

I get a "The specified domain either does not exist or
could not be contacted"

Please help. Thank you, in advance.

It sounds like you are trying to log onto a domain. When you did the
upgrade, did you say that your computer was part of a domain? You need
to log on locally. Try going into Safe Mode and logging into the local
machine Administrator account, where the password should be blank. If
you aren't supposed to be a member of a domain, go to the Computer Name
tab in the System applet and change it to a Workgroup. If you need more
help, please repost with details, particularly if you really are trying
to log onto a domain.
