DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO TRANFER ADDRESS BOOK FROM OUTLOOK
EXPRESS ON THE DESK TOP TO LAP TOP

Lisa,

Export an address book

1.. On the File menu, point to Export, and then click Address Book.

2.. Choose a format for the export. To export your address book directly
from Outlook Express, choose Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book. To
use a file with address information separated by commas, select Text File.

3.. Click Export.

4.. Choose a profile that most closely fits the intended use for the
exported address book and click OK.

Greetings --

First of all, please unstick your CapsLock key. Posting in all
caps, as you have done, is the Usenet equivalent of shouting, and is
considered very rude by many people. More importantly, posting in all
caps makes the post very hard to read, further reducing your chances
of getting help.

On the desktop PC, in OE, File > Export > Address Book.... Copy
the file to a floppy or other removable media common to both
computers. On the laptop, in OE, File > Import > Address Book.... and
point it at the disk containing the file exported above.

If the WAB or CSV file is backed up to disk or floppy, OE cannot import
directly from the backup medium. Lisa must Copy either file to the HDD and
then remove the Read Only attribute it will have by default.

Then, from the open Address Book, File>Import>

....Address Book (WAB)>point the wizard to the copied WAB file's location>...

....other address book (CSV> point the wizard to the copied CSV file's
location>...
