I need to add an attribute (free text) to an email received while it is
in the inbox, and make sure the attribute is stored and can be retrived
once mail is sent between different person.

I need this to be able to add an externally generated Id to emails and
be able to track it when exchange mails with my users.

Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks

Hi Andre,

One of my friends uses an Outlook add-in that adds a tracking ID in the
subject of each email he replies. For example he receives an email from me
(for the first time) and when it replies to it a number is generated in the
email subject. It looks something like: [456701]. And every time he replies
to me and I reply to him this number is the same. I'm not sure but I think
that (from what you are saying) you are looking for this function. The
add-in it is called Bells & Whistles for Outlook and you can find it at this
