accessing chat room profiles

Hi there,
I would be grateful for any advice on this problem. If I'm in a chat room
and I click on a profile name in order to open the profile, nothing happens,
and immediately after the click there is a little red and yellow sign which
looks like a tiny explosion with a red exclamation mark inside it. What have
I done?! And why won't it open? I have disabled my auto protect on Norton and
on Windows as well as my firewall, and I have switched my internet security
to Low, but it doesn't seem to help.

Does anyone have any advice? Much appreciated from Northern Ireland.

It really depends upon the chat and the software you are using in the chat
room but you should realize, in some chat forums, it's possible for users to
protect their profiles and prevent others from viewing their profiles
without permission. Perhaps that's all that is happening.
