Access problem

Something happened to the C drive on my old computer
where it would not boot. I took it out of the machine
and put it into my newer machine to save the data on it.
Everything seems to be accessable on it with the
exception of my user name folder in "documents and
settings" where of course is all the data I want to
save. The machine had been set up to restict access from
other users on the machine. Now when trying to open
these files I get a access denied message. Any help
getting around the NTSF restrictions on my user file on
that drive would be appriciated.

Hope it helps
