access dynamic SELECT Query

Hi all,
I hav a database with 17 fields.By using forms, the user must
be able to add and retrieve the data. The user must be able to
retrieve data by selecting one (or) more of the 17 fields(depending
upon the user request). So the search criteria now becomes dynamic.Can
somebody help me on this?? I am a new-bie to ms-access.Please help
me out...

Do you mean you have a Form with 17 fields? or that you have 17 fields in a
table? Do you want the user to tick a box to say "select by address" by
surname etc.

I mean that a table with 17 fields.and exactly what u hav said.....
How can i proceed with this???
