A wireless Dummie!

Hi,

I'm new to networking, and am looking for a wireless solution so I can avoid
wires running to my media PC in one room, I'm getting a laptop for my Home
business which will also be mostly wireless, my home is connected to BT ADSL
2 meg (green alcatel frog) from the research ive done so far.... would I be
right in saying you can plug the BT Voyager 2100 in any phone socket in the
house without any cables to your PC? and then connect the computers with PCI
or pcmi receiver cards?

Any other recommendations would be appreciated.
