1394 camera & config rom

Arne Caspari

Hello,

I have an issue with a 1394 camera failing the IEEE-1394 Configuration ROM Test.

The camera is an IIDC digital camera specification compliant camera. According
to this specification, the VENDOR NAME LEAF and the MODEL NAME LEAF are only
defined in the "Unit Dependend Directory" of the config ROM.

The test asserts the VENDOR NAME LEAF to be present in the Root Directory. The absence
of the MODEL NAME LEAF is covered by the errata ID 732, but how about the VENDOR LEAF?

Can anybody shed some light on this? Microsoft WHQL does not respond to any of my emails.

Thanks,

-Arne

I have done that in the past - without response...

Hello?

How are we supposed to participate in the windows logo program
if such questions don´t get answered?

Is there a logo called
"Would be designed for WindowsXP if MS wanted to bother with us"?

I really want to get the submission ready, SOON!

This is a non-charge, catch as you can newsgroup that was never guaranteed
to be monitored or any given question even answered. Were I you I would take
the route of contacting the WHQL folk direct. Though a bit shy, they don't
byte, and last I looked, they had all their shots. One or two may not be
house broken yet though. :))

Hey, that was a good one!

If only WHQL would respond to my mails... But maybe it is just that the
whql mail addresses are not guaranteed to be monitored either?
