    Novatech ... my view

    Novatech Got a scanner from Novatech, stopped working sent it back ( at my own expense ) still under warranty, that was 5 weeks ago, No news, despite Phone calls. Not the first time I have had problems with them. Poor customer support. For ME novatech are a waste of time.

    Sorry to hear obout your problem. If you do get a refund I would take a look at John Lewis, excellant after sales. Bought two toshiba laptops for my grandchildren. Two days to get here and well packed. Deliverd by John Lewis.

    Acer - very poor support

    The fault on all three monitors were, first one the panel stopped working, the other two suffered bad backlight bleed, so bad it could be seen on all colour's. First three repaired and retuned ok, sold on. Last one which was a 19 Ferrari, don't know just stopped working.

    FaithDefender My own experience with Acer/Esplex.. I read and digested all you said in defence of Esplex, but. Over the past 4 years I have had 4 Acer TFT monitors, all had developed a fault within the manufactures 3 year warranty.Unlucky me!! Getting a response from Esplex has never for me...

    Acer - very poor support

    It seems it’s a Global discontent with Acer. I understand that if you are a business, Acer will respond quickly, so I am told by an employer of Esplex. I personally will only use Rock laptops. All of there products carry a 3 year warranty. Never had a problem with this company.

    I share your agony. It took nearly 4 months of writing and phoning to Esplex RE/my monitor ( letters recorded of course ) before they finally gave me a full refund. I think they have a big problem with spares.

    Do you happen to live near Acer/Esplex? They have their workshop at Eagle Road Plympton/Plymouth. I know a few people that have driven to Esplex to sort things out. If not, send it back again. Don't give in.

    Update. 4 months on. I Received a full refund from Acer today, must admit I was surprised to get it so quick. I can at least this time say, well done Acer. I now have a NEC MultiSync® LCD20WGX2 20.1" Widescreen LCD Monitor. Stunning monitor, can recommend.

    Why am I not surprised that Acer own Esplex. Now we know why head office don't seem concerned with constant complaints against Esplex. If I have put off just one person from buying Acer product's it's worth all the postings.
