New Raspberry Pi out today for just £23

There's a new Raspberry Pi out today; The Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+, and you can buy it for just £23 ($25). The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ came out in March 2018 and currently retails for £32 ($35). In comparison, the Model A+ is a cheaper, smaller, lower-powered version of the third-generation single-board computer.

Compared with the Model B+, the Model A+ shares the same CPU and GPU, but has a smaller memory (512MB vs 1GB), fewer ports, and does not feature wired Ethernet connectivity. In terms of features the 3 A+ falls somewhere between the Pi Zero and the 3 B+, and is ideally suited to battery-powered projects.

On the company's blog, they say "In some ways this is rather a poignant product for us. Back in March, we explained that the 3+ platform is the final iteration of the “classic” Raspberry Pi: whatever we do next will of necessity be less of an evolution, because it will need new core silicon, on a new process node, with new memory technology. So 3A+ is about closing things out in style, answering one of our most frequent customer requests, and clearing the decks so we can start to think seriously about what comes next."
