Yahoo Messenger Problem....hangs up Yahoo Mess

I need Help!

I use to be able to normally use Yahoo Messenger in my computer.
Lately I no longer be able to open my Web Cam on Yahoo Mess sudddenly.
Everytime I open my web cam in Yahoo Messenger the software does not
seem to see my webcam and it hangs up the Yahoo Messenger. However the
rest of the functionalities stays ok and normal but opening the webcam
of the Yahoo Mess just hangs up the software.

Will somebody please help me restore my being able to let me use my
webcam back in Yahoo Messenger?

Greetings Ric,

You might be able to solve this by forcing Yahoo Messenger to use the VideoforWindows
standard as its default. To do so, close Yahoo Messenger (right-click it's icon in the
notification area/system tray and choose Exit), then download and run this .reg file:
http://messenger.jonathankay.com/downloads/yahoo_vfw.reg

After running/importing, start Yahoo Messenger again (from the Start menu), and see if it
works.
