XP style login

Is it possible to have an XP Home style login on windows 2000 computers ?
I would like each user to have an login icon at start up.

No. They have to enter their name and password in the logon box.

Do you know of any add on programs that would give this XP style effect ?

I don't know of any, I have never really looked for something like that.
You will have to search the internet or maybe someone else knows of
something that can do that.

For all it's worth, doing what you want to do is not a trivial thing,
the msgina would have to be changed and that is not exactly a simple
thing to do.
