XP refuses to create pagefile

I've been shifting some hard drives around among three computers. In each case,
Partition Magic has been used to copy an existing system partition to another
hard drive. Everything has worked perfectly except for one computer. When XP
is opening, I get a message saying there's no pagefile or the pagefile is too
small. Changing the settings make no difference. I've tried letting Windows
manage the pagefile and have also tried setting custom sizes. Once I hit the
"Set" button, the correct settings appear and are still there even after
rebooting. But no pagefile.sys file is created.

Does anybody know how to cure this problem? Doing a repair install of XP didn't
fix it.

Problem solved! :)

Changing and relettering hard drives evidently confused Intel Application
Accelerator. Once I uninstalled that and then re-installed it, the pagefile set
up with no problems.

Everything is as fine as frog hair now!

That program is more trouble than it is worth, honest.
