Hey,

my computer's been working pretty well for a couple of weeks now... but, I'd like to reinstall windows, wipe the whole system and start afresh...

I've got an original XP disk etc. When I go to install I can't on the partitioned space that's already there, I tried 'repair' and that didn't get me anywhere either. (btw, should I have 8mb of unpartitioned space on the HDD, did I do something wrong on the first install?)

Should I uninstall windows first, if so, how?

Any tips etc would be much appreciated...

Rufus

p.s couple of quickies

- anyone know somewhere I can get a DVD decoder for WMP, tried googling it but they don't work

- my Asus P5ND2 mobo keeps power running to the mouse and keyboard even though the comp's off. I'm a real energy geek so have to turn the PSU off everytime, any ideas on how to solve this?
