XP compatibility with Norton Internet Security 2001

I have installed Norton Internet Securtiy 2001 on my previous OS Win2000.
I have upgraded the OS to XP and it complains that the XP is not compatible
with Norton Internet Secruity 2001.
However, I cannot remove the software from the control panel. (I have
shutdown the application before I remove from control panel.)
Anyone here experience this problem? Any solution?
