X1900xt:3d clocks only work on fullscreen games

Hi,

I have a sapphire x1900xt 256 with catalyst 6.8 + oblivion pacth.

I have ati tray tools (ATT) installed.

When i try to play oblivion and other games on a window (I do that
with all first person games) the 3d clocks don't switch on.
In fullscreen everything is perfect.
I also tried to launch the games from within ATT without luck.

Any similar experience ?

Yep, noticed the same thing with my X1900XT and Quake III, though normally I
don't play games in a window.

You should be able to set up a profile in ATiTool to overclock the 2D clock
speeds to 3D levels before launching a game (and bring it back down after
the game quits). The profile needs to contain the higher 3D voltage settings
as well.
