word opens to "document 3" can you help me reset to document 1?

When I open Word (2007) the default document reflects document3, rather than
the expected document 1? Can you help me to reset? Thanks

But what difference does it make? You're going to save your document
with its own proper name immediately anyway.

Because Word starting with Document3 indicates that something is
wrong--usually leftover temp files. See
