Word 2007 open new documents on left hand side of screen

Hi,

I've just purchased and installed Microsoft Office 2007 Home & Student and
am experiencing a problem with Word 2007.

When I open Word or create a new document, the document is positioned on the
left hand side of my screen. I use Word 2007 at work and know that this isn't
normal - the document should open in the center of the screen.

After updating Office via Windows Update, I received a message informing me
that two updates will not be installed and therefore there's a status of
failed on the Windows Updates home page.

Anyone any ideas on how to resolve the above?

Word seems to open new windows in the same size and position as the
last document you saved & closed occupied. Maximize your window, and
the next one will probably open to cover the whole screen.

Hi,

Just tried it but didn't make any difference. It seems to be a problem with
the zoom functionality. When I zoom under 100 percent the document moves to
the left hand side of the page. Anything zoomed over 100 percent displays the
document in the center of the screen. I can't seem to get it center whilst
zoomed at 100 percent. Any ideas?

Wait -- are you talking about the window on the screen (as I thought),
or about the page in the window?

If it's the page in the window, make sure you don't have "show two
pages" or something like that chosen in View or Options or some such
(I've never tried using those, so I don't remember where I've seen
them, if at all -- maybe I'm just projecting from Reader!)
