Chester

I'm a real beginer here so I apologize if this is the wrong area or I'm not
using the correct words.
Typed up a document in word2007 and sent it to work. Am unable to open here
on the word2000 version.
How do I do it?
Thanks in advance.

If this is a work owned computer then you don't until you get home and save
it again in Word 97-2003 format.

The default file format changed in Word 2007. Whereas in the past, Word used
a binary format (.doc) it now uses an XML format (.docx).

1. You can tell Word to save all new documents in the old binary format,
which Word 2007 calls 'Word 97-2003 format'.

You can also open your original .docx file and tell Word 2007 to 'Save As'
in Word 97-2003 format.

"Make Word 2007 Always Save in Word 2003 Format"

This information is also found in Word 2007's Help file.

2. The computer equipped with Word 2000 can install the free Word viewer,
available from Microsoft.
