wireless card does not restart when coming out of standby

Hi- I'm running a D-Link wireless card (DWL-G630) for access to the internet. It is installed on my Compaq Presario laptop. When the laptop goes into standby the wireless card power is turned off to save power. Upon powering up coming out of standby, everything returns to normal except the wireless card. No power to the wireless card, hence no internet access. I have to go thru a complete reboot to restart the card.

Anyone have experience with this??? Any ideas on how to get the card to restart coming out of standby?

Thanks, Dana

I've seen the same thing with my Dlink card, instead of rebooting, disable
and re-enable the card.

Control panel, network connections, right click on the card, disable then
enable.

good luck.
