winnt or winnt32

Hello
I need a little help. I am preparing to take the CompTia A+ exam and
have a question.
Some references that I come across reference upgrading windows 98 to
Windows XP by using the winnt.exe on the Windows XP CD and some state
using the winnt32.exe file to do the upgrade.
Some references state that if upgrading from 95a then use the winnt.exe
and anything else use the winnt32.exe file.
I am all confused because different references give different solutions.
Any help on the real answer would be greatly appreciated!

WinNT.exe under DOS.

WinNT32.exe under Win32 GUI.

Winnt performs an installation of or upgrade to Windows XP. If you have
hardware that is compatible with Windows XP, you can run winnt at a
Windows 3.x or MS-DOS command prompt.

Winnt32 performs an installation of or upgrade to Windows XP. You can
run winnt32 at the command prompt on a computer running Windows 95,
Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows NT, Windows 2000, or
Windows XP.
