Winfixer 2005 fix removal

Andre Da Costa

From Andy Manchester:
Adaware SE will detect Winfixer in its next definition
update which should be released in the next day or two,

Winfixer can be removed using the Add/Remove screen but
if the problem is your getting repeated pop ups to
install Winfixer then this is connected to malware but
bundled with alot of junk recently from Adware/Spyware to
Trojans so go with the Malware scanners and see if you
can get a name for whats causing this.

If its Look2me/Aurora/Qoologic/SurfSideKick or
PacerDmedia then it will be detected by Ewido, If its
Trojan Vundo then Trend Micro's Housecall or other Virus
scanners will detect this, Once we know whats causing the
problem then it will make it alot easier to remove it.

Good Luck

Andy

I now see one post stating that current definitions--5757, allow Microsoft
Antispyware to remove Winfixer.
