windows xp reverts back to user signin page too quickly

If I am not typing or browsing as an active user for more than a couple of
minutes, windows XP quickly reverts to the users sign in screen and I have
to renter my password to continue. How to I extend the length of time that
Windows will wait to revert to the user sign in screen?

Right click on your desktop then go to properties, go to screen saver then
you could extend the minutes on how long you want windows to stay on. Also
you can take the option to have enter a password everytime your screen saver
kicks in.

Thanks for the tip on uncheckihng the box requiring the password. That's
just what I neded.
