Windows XP Pro SP1 and third party firewalls problems

I have two 3Com NIC cards installed in my PC connected to two different
networks (one connected to a router -DHCP, the other one fixed IP) and used
several firewalls: ZoneAlarm, Tiny personal firewall, Kerio, Sygate etc. The
problem occured when trying to connect to both networks, the Windows XP Pro
would just restart or get a blue screen with some error messages and then
reboot.
The only firewall I managed to use without any problems was McAfee 4 free
from a magazine.
Could anyone explain this behaviour?

If you installed several Firewall apps its not surprising that you had
problems, but it might help if you shared the error msgs

I haven't installed all of them in the same time. One by one.
There's no error message. It was too short time to read it on the blue
screen. Windows simply restarts or simply doesn't want to boot anymore.
