Windows Update page won't load

I upgraded Home to Pro with SP2. Now when I try to use the windows
update utility, I get the following message after selecting the Express
Installation selection:
We're sorry - Windows update has encountered an error and cannot display
the requested page. You may find the following resources helpful in
resolving the problem:
(gives me links to the following
-response center
-troubleshooter
-newsgroups
I've tried these links but get no resolve to this problem. I've turned
off the windows firewall thinking it may be blocking the website. Didn't
help. I don't have a 3rd party firewall so there's no problem from a 3rd
party. The security settings are low so they're not blocking websites.
Don't know what else to do.
