Hi people,
if you cannot update using windows XP update service, Internet
Explorer freezes during update on 0% or 33% or 66%, WIN XP update
fails with many different type of errors (0xXXXXXXXX), if you cannot
logon into HOTMAIL and/or YAHOO webmail, if you cannot send emails
using Outlook express, if your internet connection is slow in some
cases... Then most probably you have to change your MTU network
settings of your home network, MTU has to be set for all network
devices to the proper value (your PC, router etc...). There are
several ways to do that, one is described here:
http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/n100603.asp (see the link for
3rd party software.
)
Other then that search the GOOGLE and you will probably find more
about MTU and how to change it.
Key words:
Hotmail logon fails.
Windows XP update fails
Windows XP update freezes
Outlook express fails to send message but it sends sometimes depending
on the message size.
Slow internet connection in some cases....
Router settings,
