I have just done a system recovery on my Dell Laptop. Everything is working fine except the USB Ports.

I have installed the Chipset Driver which I think is connected to the motherboard and USB ports but I am still not getting anything.

I used genuine Dell restore discs, and Dell driver CD, and installed all the recommended drivers, so I can't think what might be the problem....

Any suggestions much appreciated

First thing that I think of is, possibly disabled in the BIOS? Shouldn't have happened under those circumstances, but couldn't hurt to check.

Check the hardware IDs and look for alternate drivers?

How do they show up in Device Manager?
