I have disabled the automatically scan my computer, and real-time protection
6 day ago. Since then I have downloaded signature file 1.14.1402.2, and the
home screen is recommend me to start a scan. When I click Start Scan I get
the following error message.

Windows Defender encountered an error: 0x80004003. Invalid pointer.

When I select Quick or Full from the drop down menu I do not get the error
message.

Shawn,

Can you download the latest version which was released 4/12/2006. If you are
running the latest build and still running into this issue please post back.
