Windows Defender definition updates

It seems that the latest version of WD, 1.1.1.1347 has resolved the
definition update problems that many of us have been experiencing. Since
downloading and installing it, I have applied two definition updatse via
Windows Update with no problems at all, the latest being 1404.6, dated
20/4/06.

Received the following error:

Windows Defender was unable to complete the update: 0x80070643.


Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1347.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1372.0
Definition Version: 1.14.1404.6

Sorry to hear that - got all excited when two updates were downloaded and
installed without any other actions being necessary. I wait with trepidation
to see whether the next update due causes problems or not!
