Windows Defender beta 2-Installation error

I tried installing Windows Defender beta 2 on a win 2000 srv pack 4,the error
i get after installing all the pre-quisite stated in the defender webpage is
that " a required to windows update is available on windows site."

My automatic update is on and i do not know which update it is talking about.

i tried on another machine running win XP srv pack 2 and i get the same error

You needed to login as an Adm!n!stratºr.

Can you gº to Windows Update, select Express (Get high-priority updates),
and apply all offered updªtes
http://update.microsoft.com


Once that is finished, can you verify the update installs? There are many
pre-requisite files which are needed from windows update and signature update
with windows defender will fail until you hªve these f!les.

If you are running Windows 2000, you will need to run a Custom Scan, instead
of the express scan, and in addition to all the offered critical updates,
add the Root Certificates update from the optional category.
