Windows "Cache 338"

J

Juan

I'll give this another shot, will appreciate any
advice. "Cache 338" is a subfolder of the Windows
programs--NOT part of the I386 back up system. I was told
a few months ago via this forum that those cached items
could be deleted. Now, the folder of course is still
there; I deleted the items (mostly ads), but now it
doesn't even collect those. Did I delete a notepad or
something that activates the cache or is it not anything
to worry about? How can I inform myself as to how the
Cache 338 folder operates?

Many thanks in advance, Juan

Now you say where it was and what it is. It's a cache of
some program you probably downloaded for free and agreed
to let them send you ad's based on your agreement with
them' like gator or someone else. This is a Windows XP
news group. Go back where you downloaded the program from.

This is not a standard Windows folder so have no idea where it came from. I
did a search for this on Google last nite. The only reference I found for
it was at the SpamCop website and then it was a folder on their site where
you could view results of spam reports.
