Hello,
I'm using wbadmin on W2k8S to backup 500 gig to a 2tb worldbook NAS at 1gb
network speed, It takes 24 hours to backup.

I can copy in around 3 hours.

Does anyone know why it is so slooow?
Is there any to change resource management on WBADMIN?

Thanks,
Robert

What do you mean by resource management?

How are you copying? Have you tried using Robocopy?

Hello,

The copy time is fine even though 3 hours is long it's not unreasonable. The
backup time is unreasonable at 24 hours for the same info.

The backup seems to use very little resources I guess so that it doesn't
affect users or other processes.

With a 1gb network, backup uses .5% of the network speed. It uses 1% of the
CPU and 2mb/sec of the hard drive transfer rate.

Is there a way to bump this up to using more resources and therefore,
finishing faster?

Thanks again,
Robert
