Win2000fax answering calls

I am very happy with WIN2000FAX. One additional feature
for it is highly desirable. Now I have to manually click
to make the computer answer incoming fax calls as voice
calls and Fax calls are not distinguished at present. Is
there any way I can add that feature?

Then occasionally while answering faxes, it
gets "Reception Error." Once it gets in that mode all
calls end up that way till I restart the computer.
Recently I make the modem initialize itself by starting a
dial up session, but I am not very sure that that corrects
the problem all the time.

Ideas would be very welcome.

Distinctive Ring is not supported by Windows 2000. Therefore, Windows 2000
Fax will answer every incoming call it receives. The alternative is to
install an external switching device to your phone line.

The alternative is to install a special software, like VentaFax &
Voice (www.ventafax.com). Fax & answering machine (2 in 1).
Distinctive ring service is available even in Windows 2000 and XP.
