Why is Outlook synchronising folders?

R

Royston Tin

Hi,

I run WinXP SP2 and MS Office 2003.

When I click on Send/Receive in Outlook, an icon appears in the System
Tray, which when the mouse rests on it, reads "Microsoft Office Outlook
is Synchronizing Folders". When the download is completed, the icon
disappears.

I do not have any folders which I want synchronized.

Please tell me how to stop this function and to prevent the icon
appearing.

Thank you

Royston Tin.

Any type of mail check causes that icon to change. If you don't want that
icon to change, don't ever send/receive mail. ;)
