Error message?
Version of Outlook?
Does it work when you save it to the Desktop first?

I have the same problem get the following error:
Cant create file: *****.rtf. Right-click the folder you want to create the
file in, and then click properties on the shortcut menu to check your
permissions for the folder.

I am using Outlook 2003

Error message has no code- just says 'Cant read:mad:.rtf file. Click folder you
wish to open file in, click properties and check permission' (paraphrased).
Cannot save file either - same message. Outlook 2003 I think is version. Can
forward message to others and they can open no problem. Have been opening
same type of file for 12 months - suddenly they wont open. Im sure I havent
changed any setting or new programmes - but obviously theres been a change
somewhere- I just have no idea where. I have checked file associations also -
is as it should be. Am stumped!!

Thank You Roady - I will try this and see how I go. At this point if someone
told me to light a candle and chant over my computer I'd do it!!!!!
