Why does Outlook show the word [bulk] in the email message subject

Hi

Something I've never thought to ask before, but here it is. Why is Outlook
inserting the word [bulk] at the beginning of incoming email messages.

Thanks.

Outlook isn't doing that. Either the sender or some mail server along the way or some add-in is doing that.

When someone receives my mail, it is labelled with [Bulk]. How can I make
sure this doesn't happen. Some servers strip mail with Bulk in the subject
line. It typically happens when I reply.

That would be an issue for the recipient to solve, since it is most likely
that it is their mail server adding that string to your messages. You have
no control over that whatsoever.
