WHQL test failure using Vista in-box driver

I'm trying to chase down a pesky WHQL failure on the Wave test (PCM audio format) that only provides a hint that something may be wrong with the driver, but we are using the in-box Vista audio driver... and the KsTopTest passes.

Would this mean there is an issue with Firmware (and enumeration) or maybe physical Hardware...?

Any insight would be appreciated.
