Where Are the Files and Settings that are Gathered by WinXP Pro SP2 Files & Settings Transfer Wizard

I'm trying to use Files & Settings Transfer Wizard to transfer files & settings from the D: drive on a computer to the C: drive. This is due to adding a new hard drive to an existing computer. The D: drive was a boot disk from another computer. So, I need to transfer all of the files and settings from the D: drive to the C: drive.

I ran the wizard, telling it that it was running on the old computer. Then I let it gather all files and settings from the D: drive. When that finished, a popup told me to start the Files & Settings Transfer Wizard on the new computer. I did that. It asked me to tell it where the files and settings are located. The only problem with that is that I don't know and the Files & Settings Transfer Wizard did not give me a clue when it gathered my files and settings. After starting Files & Settings Transfer Wizard and selecting the option that states that I have already collected the files and settings from the old computer the wizard presented a dialogue asking "Where are the files and settings?" Good question. How would I know? The wizard sure didn't tell me when it collected all of that where it stored the information.

I tried having it browse both the D: drive and the C: drive and various main folders on those hard drives, But the wizard keeps insisting that whatever it's looking for is not available anywhere I direct the wizard to look; including the floppy disk drive.

How can I get the Files & Settings Transfer Wizard? I shall greatly appreciate your help on this.

The Files & Settings Transfer Wizard indicates at its
outset where it will store the data it collects when
asking what media you will be using for the transfer:


Use Files and Settings Transfer Wizard To Transfer Files

Get the files and settings from the old computer:a. Click
Start, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then
click Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.
b. Click Next, click Old Computer, and then click Next.
c. Select a transfer method, such as Floppy Drive or
Other (such as a removable or network drive), and then
click Next.

Every time I run this, it gathers quite a lot of files & settings from the D: drive, hen finishes, telling me to go to the new computer (which in this case is the same computer) and run the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard, BUT it Never writes anything on any floppy drive to transfer to the C: drive. So, when I try to run FAST Wizard again it asks where the files and settings are gathered. Well.... They DID NOT get written to a floppy and if they're somewhere on the D: drive (like in a cabinet,) it would be nice if FAST Wizard let me know the File Name and location of the gathered Files & Settings.

Actually, the D: drive is new on this computer. What I need to do is make
the D: drive the System Disk (instead of the C: drive like it's not set) so
that I can run Outlook on the D: drive and export Contacts, E-Mail Messages,
Calendar Entries, etc. so I can Import them into Outlook on the C: drive
after I've switched it back to the System Disk. I have not been able to
accomplish this with Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

When you start the FASTW just about the first thing that it asks you
is where you want it to save the accumulated data files that it
gathers. The screen says "Select a transfer method"

When you start the FASTW read every word on every window that opens
and make certain that you clearly understand all of these words. The
"Select a transfer method" screen gives you several choices as to
where to save the files, whichever one you choose is where the files
will be saved.
