The Help menu for Access 2000 on the location of the
Switchboard Manager is incorrect. It is located under
Tools | Database Utilities.

Problems With Access 2000 It won`t
Create The Switchboard Looked in addins
But there`s nothing there

The Switchboard Manager is, IMNSHO, a complex solution to a simple problem.
The simple problem is "allow the user to choose and execute functionality by
the application"; the complex solution is inflexible forms tied to a table
in the database, all of which is easy to break if you try to do anything not
provided in the Switchboard Manager.

The simple solution is a Switchboard form or forms made from an unbound
Form, using Command Buttons to open Forms providing the functionality. If
you create the application and its Forms first, the Command Button wizard
will write all the code to open them. If you want to do something like add a
Combo Box for the user to select critieria for the records to be shown in a
Form or Report, that's easy to do.
