Stuffing envelopes for weeks on end (and nothing else) - not too bad on the scale of things, but very boring!

Retreiving lobsters from Jayne Mansfields's.......... hehe, let's not go there ;)

Anybody remember Derek & Clive? :)

My worst job? Hmm. Lemme think.

Aha. All the office jobs I've had. Which was my very first job. Total office jobs I've had number about three. They were all soul destroying.

Getting paid £6.25 an hour to clean and test voting handsets. That was really boring. Good money though i suppose.

Sainsbury's beats that - purely because alot of people there are my age and i get on well with them - go out pubbing with them etc.

Catering sucks. Dont do that.

It sure do.

Crappy work, long hours, split shifts and all chefs are psychos.

Only done that for a little while, never again.

Cleaning a pie cart/steak wagon (it had 3 stools along a bench & did sit down meals as well as fish & chips etc) I also worked ('till 3-4 am on friday & saturday... pub nights) taking orders & making burgers. In such a small area the airborne grease is concentrated beyond belief. I could go home after work, run my fingers through my hair & scrape the stuff out. Washing seemed to have no effect whatsoever.
But I actually quite enjoyed that despite the sore feet & the lack of coffee breaks, because I loved chatting with the people, especially the crowds come closing time at the towns pubs. People who are p*ssed are so funny:p. It was cleaning it each sunday that was a real gross out.

Working for a company that designs drainage systems. Im making access! databases that do things like run queries on data. Marleys soul has left the building. All i wanna do is run away. Its my uni work placement though so its hard to get out of.

Making databases in a crappy place makes marls a dull boy. Making databases in a crappy place makes marls a dull boy. Making databases in a crappy place makes marls a dull boy. I worked in a sandwich factory at the age of 15, that was nasty! I haven't bought locally made sandwiches since...! :)

I have also done temp work in many army barracks etc - that was mainly cleaning, which I actually kinda enjoy!

I used to do landscaping. I did it for one season. Hottest, dirtiest work I ever did. $5.50 an hour! ( That was 10 years ago)

Yeah, John did landscaping for Parks & Gardens in Liverpool about 20 years ago. Hot hard sweaty work, but it's come in useful over the years when he's had to do landscaping on some of his previous homes. I've seen some of what he did & it's pretty astounding, leveling sections & removing huge trees putting in rockeries etc. Although I think the one that still gnaws at him is the pond he put in at his home in Invergargill years ago. Him & his kids went all over the place collecting spawn & tadpoles so he could have frogs in the pond, then as soon as they dropped their tails they'd disappear. he got very frustrated untill someone told him that New Zealand frogs climb. I don't think he has ever forgiven them
