whats a minidump of physical memory?

My computer almost crashed the other day and the screen
was blue and told that the computer performed a minidump
of physical memory but I cant find any thing missing or
wrong. I restarted my computer and the computer said that
I recovered from a "serious error". Can anyone tell me
what happened to my computer bucause I could not send the
report to microsoft because my computer does not have
internet connections right now. Thanks, RobCrap
