What the heck: Adobe Flash Player will not download or work

Hi Folks,

I am new to the group but need some help. I am having a problem
with anything to do with Flash Player. First of all I cannot download
it and secondly nothing that uses it works. Example is playing .mpg's.
Like the movies on "My Space.com" will not play nor the Google player.
I cannot figure this out.

I need some help, please.
