Hey,
What do you do when you know you have recieved a fake e-mail from some
or their virus infected computer prenteding to be MS and telling you to
install "August 2003 Culimiatve Patch" which supposed fix all known securit
bugs w/ IE 4.01, OE and O? This message appears to me to be BS. Though to
the average person that is incompontet they may install it.... Besised
deleting isn't there someone at MS you can contact?

I suppose that there could still be people out there who think MS would
personally email them and everybody else with a common or garden virus
warning.
But frankly, if they believe that, then computer viruses may well be the
least of life's problems for them.

This an old and very well-known hoax. The attachment, as you suspect,
contains a virus.

There's nothing to do, and nobody at Microsoft to contact. They are well
aware of this.

I've read on the NG's that Microsoft DOES NOT send emails with attachments.
You have to got to their website for any patch downloads/instillations. So
delete the message.
